Tips For Setting Up Your Altar

Many magick practitioners use a home altar, and if you’ve seen anyone else’s, you’ll notice a variety of tools, and things on the altar. Here are a couple of tips for what should be on your altar.

White Candles – Burning a white candle in the home is conducive to peace, and harmony among family members, or just generally throw a nice, pleasant piece of atmosphere in with the warmth of your home. Candles that come in glass jars often are safer to burn for longer periods of time; feel free to burn more than one.

Household Guardian – This can be a figurine, or small sculpture of anything you’d like, such as a Viking queen, a tiger, a cat, a snake, –anything you have on hand. Or it can be a jar, or any other object. Next, just visualize the guardian, endowing it with qualities you’d like in your home’s guardian. Place it between two white candles; as long as they’re burning, your home is protected.
